“The communication is as simple as saying a word, and as complex as producing a movie to illustrate the meaning of that key word. Communication is spontaneous like imagination and planned as rationality. The greatest results come from free creation, free imagination and organized thinking”.

Humanistic principles:

  • Human suffering is unacceptable in any form (psychological, physical or emotional).
  • Wars must be avoided at any cost, unless for self-defence due to land invasion.
  • Nuclear weapons must be eradicated by every small, medium and large nation.
  • Bullying and torture (in any form, including verbal) or physical aggressions do not have room in human behaviour.
  • The survival and welfare of the human species, in a health interaction with its environment, should be the main worldwide goal.
  • The Universal Declaration of Human Rights should be the rule of actions of any person.
  • Education, health care, nutrition and recreation must be globally guaranteed, and free when not accessible.
  • Gender equality must be supported, but it involves benefits and sacrifices from both genders.
  • Privacy must be guaranteed universally, while protecting the integrity and security of populations.
  • We all make mistakes; human perfection does not exist.
  • Most of the human conflicts can be resolved with a face-to-face conversation (honest and open minded), between two people with power of decision.
  • When human communication channels are closed, it is almost impossible to resolve a conflict.
  • The more powerful a government or an organization is, the more democratic controls it requires, to make sure it works for the welfare of its citizens and the humanity.
  • Organizations with a path of systematic human right abuses, or supposed to commit human right abuses (by intimidating employees who might report them), should not be trusted or supported at all.
  • Authoritarianism must be responded with democratic actions and universal values.
  • Every human action has rationality; when somebody says otherwise he or she probably made a mistake with undesired consequences on the others.
  • A humanistic approach to people’s mistakes usually works better than punishment, especially when those mistakes are the result of social desperation.
  • The truth is a human construction at a practical level; while it is also a life philosophical research at a theoretical level.
  • Money protects people from the hazards of life; but when an individual does not have it, he or she must be protected anyways (role of the state).
  • Pure capitalism without social justice hurts people.
  • Pure capitalism without sense of vulnerability hurts the environment.
  • An employer is a valuable resources provider, who should not be betrayed.
  • Any nation must guarantee equal opportunities to all of its citizens, regardless of their income or origins.
  • The sense of humanity should be more important than the national identity, while this last one has cultural value anyways.
  • Pragmatism and utilitarianism are dangerous positions that should be combated with Platonic ethics, ethics of Aristotelian virtue and Kantianism (no matter the imperfections of these last ones).
  • Living on Earth should not only be a research of personal and family satisfaction, but of a legacy for the humanity and future generations.
